Lattika vs macOS tiling
Since macOS 15 Sequoia, the Mac can tile windows by itself: drag a window to a screen edge or corner, hold Option while dragging, or use the green button. It offers halves, quarters and full screen. Lattika adds layouts you design, with any number of zones, and works alongside the built-in tiling.

macOS tiling may suit you better if
- Halves and quarters are all you need.
- You do not want to install anything or grant any permission.
- You use full screen and Split View, which only macOS itself offers.
Lattika may suit you better if
- You want zones you design once and see every time you drag a window.
- You want windows to find their place by themselves, with rules for apps and window memory.
- You want to save a whole desk as a workspace and restore it from the menu, a shortcut or the Shortcuts app.
Using both
Lattika does not turn macOS tiling off. Keep Shift for Lattika and Option for macOS, and the two do not get in each other's way.
