Lattika has no analytics, no tracking and no account. It does not collect information about you or how you use your Mac.
What stays on your Mac
Layouts, display assignments, app rules, workspaces and remembered window positions are stored in files on your Mac. Remembered positions include app identifiers and window titles so a window can be matched again later. They are never sent anywhere.
Accessibility access
Lattika uses the macOS Accessibility permission to find, move and resize windows. It does not read the contents of windows, and it does not record what you type.
When Lattika connects to the internet
- License checks. When you activate a license, the license key and your Mac's name are sent to our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy, which ties the key to that Mac and answers with an activation id. About once a week afterwards, Lattika sends the key and that id to confirm the license is still valid; your Mac's name is not sent again. Lemon Squeezy's answer includes the name and email from your order; Lattika keeps the email on your Mac, in the Keychain, only to show which license is active. If you deactivate the license, the same key and id are sent once more so the seat is freed.
- Update checks. Lattika downloads a small file from this website to see whether a new version exists. Automatic checks can be turned off in Settings.
- iCloud sync. Off unless you turn it on. Layouts, rules and workspaces are then stored in your own iCloud account. We cannot access them.
Purchases
Lemon Squeezy processes payments as the merchant of record and handles your payment details under its own privacy policy. We receive your name, email and order details in order to provide the license and support.
